Where history meets the future. I can’t think of a better phrase to describe RosebyMary, bakery and natural cooking bistro born in Piazzale Cadorna. Having three store fronts, it has certainly conquered the city in a short time. This success, far from being improvised, is the result of three generations of artistic baking experience. In fact, the owners of the historic oven, Maria Marinoni, a bread dealer from 1903 and the first in Milan to associate the concept of a bakery with a bistro, designed it.
RosebyMary follows tradition but also reinvents it, adapting to ever changing metropolitan needs. The bakery incorporates this ideology with experiments using organic flours such as corn or low carb flour, and special ingredients such as wakame seaweed, which adds new color and a super natural flavor.
The basis of the pastry is a healthy vegan recipe uses only brown sugar, but is no less inviting. In addition to the croissants with artisan cream, you can taste muffins, plum cakes or wonderful single-portion cakes. Personally, I love combining Lienzer with an organic coffee!
The healthy options continue with a lunch designed to satisfy all those who, despite often eating outside the home, are attentive to their food choices. There are various vegetarian and gluten-free options that incorporate millet and quinoa. For the proteic pat there is organic hummus, falafel and chicken. RosebyMary can be characterized precisely by its attention to seasonal raw ingredients that are cooked in a contemporary way to preserve their original health benefits.
The same gastronomic proposal is also at the base of the detailed aperitif, served every day starting at 6 pm. Needless to say, my favorites are the finger food, centrifuges, natural wines and music. Crossing the threshold of this bakery is like entering an oasis of peace.
Design is the accomplice of the relaxation that you experience from RosebyMary, curated by the Paolo Mannucci studio that played with ideas related to the brand of health and well-being. Glass, wood and iron materials are combined perfectly to add brightness to the interior. Also it is necessary to mention the special wall covered with lavender plants, combining fragrances that will make the essence of your time here all that more special.
At RosebyMary you feel at home, welcomed in a true “pantry”, which doesn’t forget the chic tones that remind us of a metropolitan bakery. Here you can be at ease, with friends or by yourself, at any time of the day. Once you start going, you won’t be able to live without it!
