If you are tired of hearing yourself say, “I have one of those too!!” Bagni Paloma is the place for you. Over 100 brands strictly chosen by the owner Alessandra who, together with her trusted collaborators, will accompany you on a journey around the world. The shop was born in Via dei Mille in a former garage (to be precise, an electrician where car radios were mounted), which Alessandra redesigned, leaving intact its industrial soul.
We still find the original floor (’60s tiles where in some places you can see the tire strips), a large glazed driveway and the workshop wooden counter, on which however there are no longer any wrenches and motor oil but clothing and objects with brands from all over the world. Yes, because from Bagni Paloma you will find brands from France, England, Germany, America, Japan and of course, Italy. Each brand is carefully chosen according to Alessandra’s taste and personal research, attentive to the quality and originality of all her clothes.
The famous Mia Moltrasio is accompanied by the very comfortable American (or Danish?) Dansko clogs, the Polly Plume glitter and the Meher Kakalia oriental, shoes strictly hand-sewn with materials coming only from sustainable sources, inspired by Karachi (the designer’s birthplace). Even in the search for fabrics, the focus is on excellence, for example F.Cashmere (from the Fissore family), an all-Italian brand of knitwear rigorously hand-dyed with natural colors and Forte Forte, an Italian brand founded in 2002 that offers clean lines and tailoring enriched with precious handmade details.
Not just clothing but also perfumes. The perfumes of Miller and Bertaux stand out and tell the story of Francis and Patrick, two French travelers with a nomad spirit. From their travels wonderful fragrances are born, to name a few: “Indian Study” from India with a spicy cloud of cumin and masala but also hot and sunny curry and “OM Inspire … and Smile …” from Bali (the name recalls the mantra of Buddhist meditations), with a breath of frankincense and myrrh, carnation leaves and patchouli but also a little liveliness with peppercorns.
In short, it is a special space from which you will never be able to leave empty-handed. “Stressed, Depressed but well Dressed” (a quote from their postcard that will accompany your purchases).
