It is spring and the days, already longer, begin to warm up giving you the desire to enjoy the onset of evening sitting outside at a cute little table, with a glass of wine and exquisite foods to go with the sips. We are across from the Arena and Sempione park and the view extends over the green that is abundant in this area of Milan. We are at La Bottega del Vino where taste is satisfied by the extraordinary selection of wines available in the cellar, Italian and non-Italian, including the most requested labels, every wine lover’s dream who can now find a rare point of reference here. To these are added a choice of beers, shorts and wonderful cocktails, with the objective of aiming for the highest quality.
The merit goes to the owner Emilio Cremascoli, a past in the Cortina’s wine shop for almost ten years, where he developed and refined his abilities in this area, then a year or so in another big wine repository (Enoteca) of Milan, N’Ombra de Vin and at last, since September 2012, dedicated to his new business: “La Bottega del Vino”.
From the kitchen, guided by chef Paolo Pivato with a professional path from Cortina and – recently – at the restaurant Al Mercato in Milan, emerge delicious little plates to accompany the aperitif, among which exquisite mini-hamburgers. For lunch and dinner, the menu provides traditional milanese plates – such as fluid risotto (risotto all’onda) or fried risotto (al salto) – and venetian (where the cook has his roots) with proposals that change depending on the seasonal ingredients, always beginning with a close attention to the selection of the primary materials, leaving creative freedom to the chef. Music in the background pleasantly accompanies the passing moments and the careful and detailed service completes the experience which you just can’t wait to repeat.
The interior is elegant and welcoming, with wood tables well set for lunch and dinner, a long one for evenings with friends or to share with others for who knows what new encounters. Lots of glass bottles on the walls in wood showcases or hanging from solid supports complete the décor: bright by day – thanks to the windows overlooking the park – with soft lights by night.
La Bottega del Vino is a wine shop, restaurant, bistrot. An ideal place from aperitif to after dinner, for any occasion where you want to dedicate some special time to yourself.
