It’s Gucci day, the appointment is at 12.30PM in Via Valtellina 7. If Prada’s show was the most awaited, Gucci’s is definitely not less anticipated. Alessandro Michele is in the “top 5” rising designers at the moment, which is proved by the growth of the Florentine maison’s sales over the last year. Furthermore, Gucci was the first brand to have a show inside Westminster Abbey in London, for their Cruise collection, just a few weeks ago: this definitely marked the start of a new era after Frida Giannini.
Let’s proceed with order. Opening the marathon today will be the grunge chic style of Diesel Black Gold by our Renzo Rosso. Right after that, the first act of the great Giorgio Armani: it’s Emporio Armani’s runway show in the classic location of Via Bergognone.
The afternoon programme will start again at 2.00PM with Etro’s patterns and prints. To relax before round two and process the intense morning, you’ll have time for a noteworthy lunch break. The two options that we suggest? Al Fresco in the Tortona area for a light lunch in its secret garden in Via Savona, or Temakinho in Corso Garibaldi for great temaki sushi and caipirinhas!
At 3.00PM Massimo Giorgetti, designer of the brand MSGM, will present their collection. In the meantime, do not miss these appointments: the first is with a new brand, Ferutdin Zakirov, by the designer of the same name from Uzbekistan, who’s fallen deeply in love with our Made in Italy. His first shop in Milan has been recently opened, you can visit the boutique in the very central Via Matteotti. The other two presentations are by Billionaire Couture – new opening for them as well in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, next to the entrance of the luxury five star hotel Park Hyatt – and Trussardi, in the very central Via Brera.
At the end of the day we’ll get to discover next season’s man according to Fendi and the last show in the programme will be Dirk Bikkembergs’, with their buff models. If you are tired but hungry, stay in the area: we recommend an aperitivo/dinner at El Carnicero of Via Spartaco. You’ve travelled through time, one year in advance, and now it’s time to travel with your palate to another continent to live a true Argentinean evening… Good Parrilla everyone!
