Today is the first day of actual madness, the programme starts to get intense and the pace, between fashion shows and presentations, gets going, so stand up! For the health enthusiasts, a nice run of preparation in the park could help, there’s plenty to choose from: Castello Sforzesco, Giardini Indro Montanelli, or the famous Navigli. For those who do not care that much about their healthy lifestyle and those who are a little hungover from the past night’s event, we advise starting the day with a full breakfast: Biancolatte for sweet and savoury dishes, Pasticceria Marchesi for the more refined, and Luini with its panzerotti, for the real gluttons: they will save you!
Amongst the firsts to start, the rising designer of Chinese origin Maioran, whose fashion show will start at 10.30AM in King Giorgio’s kingdom in via Bergognone, followed by Canali with their traditional elegance. At 12.30AM in Via Beltrami 3, the modern aesthetic of Jil Sander’s man will walk the runway.
As in last seasons Dolce & Gabbana‘s fashion show will be out of the official Chamber of Fashion’s caldendar. They announced a major event in Naples next July for the launch of the new advertising campaign filmed in the city.
Don’t forget that Saturday is the day of important presentations: amongst many we recommend Bottega Veneta in Via Privata Ercole Marelli. The famous brand owned by the Kering group has decided to leave the runway this season, but not Milan, organizing two days of presentations. The other appointment you should not miss is the presentation of the American fashion giant Ralph Lauren, the location is the same as the past few seasons, Via San Barnaba 27, wonderful historical building behind the beautiful Giardini della Guastalla.
For the afternoon, great expectations for Versace’s fashion show: what will Donatella have in store for us? Surely it won’t lack sensuality and manliness. Fast paces for the lovers of the urban world, of the biker style, and of black and white, in the afternoon we’ll have, one after the other, Les Hommes and Neil Barrett. If you prefer the sartorial aspect and the classic male elegance you have two important presentations: the flavour of the Neapolitan couture of Kiton and the timeless elegance of Cifonelli.
Closing the day on Saturday the show of Philippe Plein: we recommend following the brilliant German designer on Snapchat, always very active in sharing his crazy lifestyle. You’ll probably get to know some info on the huge party that will take place! The temperature is rising, MFW is in full swing…have a nice day guys!
