A trip out of town without leaving the city. A place where the Milanese frenzy is banned and the watchword is relaxation. A hiding place “off the beaten path”, as we read at the entrance. We’re talking about Fuorimano OTBP, an unusual location and at the same time extremely appreciated by the patrons, who once known it, will hardly abandon it.
Near Viale Sarca, after a gravel road, you enter a building halfway between an old Lombard farmhouse and an industrial building that opens onto a delightful courtyard, surrounded by lights hanging from trees and iron and wood tables. A large red bookcase, from which piles of books of different sizes peep out, leads inside, characterized by high ceilings and exposed bricks.
Large wooden tables and chairs of different materials and colors are arranged in the two huge rooms that make up the spaces, in which stand out retro corners decorated with furniture, lamps and design objects with an extremely vintage look. An illuminated bicycle stands out on the central wall, as if to remember the green philosophy that Fuorimano observes and communicates, through its culinary offer (and not only) proposed every day from 9 AM to 2 AM.
Absolutely noteworthy is the weekend brunch: four menus to choose from – Continental, American, Veggy and Baby – with fresh ingredients, accompanied by juice, American coffee, a selection of strictly leafy tea and water in a carafe.
Even the list of cocktails deserves attention: alcohol and ingredients from all over the world are mixed by the expert hands of mixologists, real drink artists who know the raw material in detail. A pleasant surprise for Gin Tonic lovers who will be able to choose their favorite drink among a truly original selection of gins, even in very limited edition.
Fuorimano OTBP is the right destination for those who occasionally want to go off the beaten path (the answer to the OTBP acronym) and escape, but not too much, from the city.
