A corner of peace from the bustle of the Navigli: Momento, as suggested by its name, is the right address for taking some time off. In via Filippo Argelati 12, before the corner with via Mario Fusetti, a small river stream runs along the road leading to the Naviglio Grande and right here, in this timeless location, this restaurant and cocktail bar welcomes you with its concept: a moment to relax and enjoy a culinary experience designed for you.

The restaurant, characterized by an industrial chic style – minimal but at the same time welcoming – and shades of grey, cream and yellow, is divided in two spaces and embellished with satin gold elements. At the entrance, to welcome the guests, the colors of the rough concrete and an important wooden counter surmounted by beautiful lamps. Tables are available to guests looking for a cocktail made to perfection. On the walls, instead, the works of the fashion photographer Domenico Petralia, adding an interesting touch to the interiors.

A few steps and a vaulted brick arch divide the entrance from the dining room, at the back, dominated by a wallpaper that attracts attention. The menu instead is the result of the inspiration and passion of the young Chef Matteo Giovanoli, who creates dishes in perfect balance between tradition and innovation and it well summarize the philosophy of the restaurant.

At lunch you can taste some fanciful proposals, such as some variations of gourmet focaccia, salads and soups. While at dinner the menu becomes even more interesting: divided into four sections, it alludes to a first date, where the restaurant meets the guest. “The meeting” is the first interaction to break the ice, “The discovery” when the mutual interest is awakened by the first courses, “Il convivio” when the evening is consolidated by a plessant second course and ” The dolce far niente ” concludes the date with a selection of desserts made by the chef. An itinerary taking the guest on tour to discover its dishes: try “The Mountain Egg”, egg on potato cream, kataifi pasta and truffle oil and continue with “La bella Italia”, Carnaroli reserve risotto with goat cheese and crusco peppers with n’duja and dried apricots. If you are not yet satisfied then, the second courses have interesting alternatives both from sea and land.

Updated every three months, the menu follows the seasons, to never betray the freshness and the origin of its ingredients. For the most demanding guests there are also two tasting itineraries: “Canto della Terra” and “Calmo della sera”. These options make you fully understand the culinary philosophy of this restaurant. You will be conquered by the dishes, first with the eye and then with the palate.

Even the cocktail list, created in collaboration with bartender Stefano Cattaneo, is designed to amaze you. Real creations with a single fil rouge: a link with art. Twelve drinks inspired by twelve art works made by twelve artists. Try “El abrazo de amor de the universe” by Frida Kahlo, with Tequila blanco, Vermouth chardonnay with verbena and matcha green tea syrup – both made in-house – egg white and lemon juice or the “Cantico dei cantici” by Marc Chagall, with vodka, mashed meringue and pink pepper, peppermint syrup, pink grapefruit, lemon juice and bitters with flowers, also produced in-house with a mixture of 30 bitter roots, rose petals, violets, chamomile and edible flowers.

In short, when you are looking for the right place to take some time off, remember this restaurant and cocktail bar, whether for a lunch, a romantic dinner or just a few of their delicious cocktails.
