Where are we drinking tonight? At the hotel! Bianca Maria Palace’s Scott Bar, a four-star design hotel close to Piazza V giornate, has been inaugurated in 2021 and is slowly becoming a landmark in the city for those who want to drink well, in a relaxed and international environment. The credit goes to Davide Resmini’s signature cocktails, but also to the atmosphere, in line with the dictates of international hotellerie, welcoming, dynamic and contemporary. Awesome design details, such as neon signs and petrol-colored armchairs play their role, and so do the classic, reassuring brass counter and the two terraces surrounded by greenery, perfect for enjoying the evening breeze.
Davide Resmini was born in 1990 in Bergamo and boasts a very respectable experience, including that at Tibi – Bistrot Provençal, at Pinch, and at Swift in London. Experiences that allowed him to work with many great names of both international and Italian mixology and hospitality, including Niccolò Zamboni, Erik Viola and Filippo Sisti, whom he considers his masters.
Lots of research, study and training on the field have given Davide, better known as Dado, the chance to win various awards, including the Best Twist on Classic 2021 and the Velier Awards. His passion is rum, but he also doesn’t mind preparing (properly, as it isn’t always that obvious) great mixology classics and creative proposals, signature cocktails created specifically for the Scott Bar. Cantagallo would be the perfect example, based on yellow chartreuse, a famous French herb liqueur, refreshed by lime and celery-flavoured, or the Festival, a mix of gin, agave, pink grapefruit and lime enriched by fresh parsley, giving the drink a fresh Mediterranean taste and scent.
In addition to cocktails, Scott Bar’s menu offers a good selection of Italian and international white and red wines, sparkling wine, including some champagne, and a series of craft beers. Scott Bar opens at aperitif’s o’clock and offers to accompany a drink with a small selection of salty appetizers. The restaurant’s kitchen remains available to order more abundant dishes to taste comfortably on your armchair if you’re hungry.
If you’re passing by on Thursdays, from 21.30 onwards there is a very popular jazz evening with jam sessions animated by students of the nearby Conservatory of Milan. The project’s due to expand this summer with more musical and artistic programs… stay tuned!
