Take a horseback ride on the Camargue coast or a trip to Marseille on a day in the beginning of the autumn. However, since the holidays are now a distant memory and many of you have already started the countdown to the Christmas time (by the way, take it easy, it’s missing less than hundred days!), the ideal solution is making a stop at Tibi Bistrot Provençal in the heart of Brera, the most bohemian neighborhood with a French atmosphere in Milan.
The arrival of the autumn also brings with itself a new drink list. By the Tibi’s signature cocktails side, there is also the legendary Gin Tonic (famous throughout the city), the African Mule – a twist to Gin Mule with hints of sage and cardamom – and the FBL based on vodka with basil, lime and ginger beer, and many new autumn entries are waiting for you.
Among the new cocktails, you should try the Memento based on Gin, aloe, lemon and sugar or the Pooh, a Gin-based cocktail with homemade Vermouth, Campari and chestnut honey syrup. Otherwise, if you are fascinated by the oriental atmosphere, opt for the Japanese references of Sol Martini based on Sake Dai Ginjo, Gin Kinobi and lemon twist.
But the news of Tibi’s home are not over by here. A section dedicated to one of the Provençal “must have” per excellence (together with lavender, ça va sans dire) has recently been added to the menu: pastis, the traditional anise-based liqueur. An exclusive selection of Pastis labels, which cannot be found anywhere else in the city, is added to the rigorously French list of wines, Crémant and Champagne.
From this season, on Sundays Tibi is taking a rest, but it’s ready to lift your spirit from the long and tiring Monday with French eno-gastronomic delights, as the great classics of the bistro to accompany wines and cocktails at the aperitivo in addition to the little amuse-bouche that arrive on the table. Typical recipes of French cuisine with melodious names: croque monsieur, quiche, anchovies from the Cantabrian Sea with Normandy butter, foie gras and assiette de fromage to be enjoyed in the small and cozy atmosphere of the bistro with its soft lighting.
Don’t forget about the well-known and well-stocked selection of gins that Tibi can boast on the bottle: imagine more than two hundred labels kept in the small spaces of the bistro ready to amaze you by the drinks prepared behind the counter.
If you have been around here during the summer time, then you couldn’t miss the new team uniforms: white and red striped, navy shirts in a perfect French style and matched with the interior and the bistro pallet.
A glass in hand, a selection of cheeses and “voila, les jeux sont faits”, here you are in Provence! (at least for the aperitivo time).
