In Rome, it is said that Ponte Milvio is the bridge of lovers and, in the same neighborhood, on Via Flaminia , it will therefore be impossible not to fall in love with the meat at Macello . In this “sworderia” taste is the master and their skewers of beef, chicken, fillet and sausage will be love at first bite for you.

Macello
The large entrance of this “carnivorous” establishment leads to a spacious and minimal room and terrace , but not devoid of attention to detail. In fact, each table is equipped with a practical steel sword holder custom-forged by a blacksmith and, as demonstrated by the open butcher counter, meat is the real focus and furnishing element of this place.

Even the Macello menu, in the form of a placemat, is in line with the practicality and essentiality of the restaurant. In addition to the eight different swords, including a vegetarian one, it is possible to order beef tartare and the prestigious Wagyu meat , rigorously treated with Tataki cooking. The swords are veal lucanica, fillet, chicken, mixed sausage, beef, with Lebanese meatballs, Messina bombette, with seitan and with a radicchio roll and it is possible to accompany them with a dedicated sauce and various side dishes, including the timeless Roman chicory. The cuts of meat, all of excellent quality, are deboned, degreased and then placed in a cast iron oven that reduces cooking times, keeping the meat tender, healthy and light.

The room also features a large wooden counter and, behind it, a large wall on which dozens of wines and spirits are displayed. Another strong point of Macello is, in fact, its rich drink list ; the local mixology team has studied a selection of cocktails prepared with excellent ingredients and created with innovative methods. For lovers of the genre, it is also possible to enjoy the swords in an aperitif formula .
Simplicity , taste and quality : this is the spirit of Macello which, with its irresistible swords, will conquer and regenerate your appetite, after a pleasant walk along the Tiber.
