La Bis Bistecca
Charcoal aromas and authentic flavours: the essence of great meat

In Piazza Principessa Clotilde, a short walk from Porta Nuova, sits La Bis Bistecca, an osteria devoted entirely to meat. The restaurant stands out for a menu focused on the quality of Italian ingredients, straightforward cooking and warm, attentive service.
La Bis Bistecca was born as a natural extension of the original Osteria La Bistecca, the historic restaurant on Via Paracelso in Milan founded over 15 years ago by Romano Pinocchi, Peppino Nocito, Dario Guaglianone and Angelo Zito.
Yet it is no simple branch: the venue in Piazza Principessa Clotilde is a twin outpost sharing the same uncompromising meat-first philosophy, while interpreting the osteria spirit with its own distinct identity.
While the Via Paracelso address is the mother ship, La Bis Bistecca updates the approach in a contemporary key, offering a modern setting that preserves the authentic soul of the osteria.

One of the defining features is the open lava-stone grill at the heart of the kitchen, where the chef oversees preparations with artisanal care. Guests can watch the cuts cook without being bothered by smoke or kitchen noise, thanks to an effective extraction system and glass screen.
The menu at La Bis Bistecca is an ode to meat. Taking centre stage are bistecche, tagliate and paillard, offered in various cuts and varieties, often sourced from scottona beef or prized Italian breeds such as Chianina I.G.P.
Among the most popular dishes are bistecca alla fiorentina, tagliata di manzo on a bed of rocket and Grana shavings, and filetto alla griglia, alongside alternatives such as costolette d’agnello, tartare di manzo and hamburger di carne selezionata.
There are also options for those seeking something lighter: seasonal first courses, often featuring porcini mushrooms or fresh pasta, and simple, well-crafted sides that complement without overpowering the meats.
The wine list, with over 100 labels spanning Italian and international bottles, is curated to accompany every dish: from structured reds for fiorentina steaks to delicate whites and rosés for lighter cuts.

La Bis Bistecca inherits a clear philosophy from Osteria La Bistecca: focus on a single specialty—meat—and do it at its best. Everything centres on the quality of ingredients and respect for dry-ageing times, overseen personally by chef Zito. Attentive service completes the experience, providing all the warmth and familiarity of a true Milanese osteria.
