In Corso Magenta, between Conciliazione, Sant’Ambrogio and Pagano, a new bistrot opened and it’s inspired by French Belle Epoque: it’s Bistrò96. Its warm, intimate and old-timey spaces feature dark colored walls, geometrical motifs on the floor and vintage decorations that are distributed on two floor, one more welcoming than the other.
Giorgia and Simone will welcome you in this new corner of Milan that feels like home, calls to mind Saturday afternoons spent chatting with our dearest friends or invites you just to relax, letting time go by without keeping track of it. A nice and original feature is the perpetual metamorphosis of the place: it is possible to buy some of the furnishings and ornaments, allowing the spaces to change and reinvent themselves constantly.
The service goes from seven in the morning to nine in the evening, from breakfast to happy hour, including lunch break and soon even brunch. Their coffee options propose some variations on the usual coffee bar routine, like the Caffè 96, speciality of the house, or the aromatized coffee or even the smoothies of the day. There’s also an excellent selection of the teas of Tea of Italy, a family-run brand that proposes teas and infusions from all over the world. Placed on the two levels of a delicious vintage cart, always fresh and in alternation, you will find a selection of cakes, croissants, biscuits and honey madeleines for breakfast or for a quick snack. Even if you just started a diet they will tempt you to make an exception.
The menu is almost exclusively composed of dishes made by Jarit’s chefs, with a wide choice of well-balanced, seasonal gourmet meals, served in 100% glass jars and made with DOP IGP certified ingredients. Other daily proposals, cooked with love by the owners, complete the offer. with an always different personal touch that makes coming back always worth it.
For the happy hour, instead, you will at your disposal a selection of wines, both in glass and in bottle, classic cocktails made with the best labels of the field and ANIMA craft beers, made in Piedmont, that come in five variations. Of course, there are non-alcoholic options too, with a wide choice of fruit juices, hot lemonade served in the morning or the laurel-infused digestive water.
An address to mark on your agenda for all those times when treating yourself can turn your day upside down.
