5 autumn brunches in Milan
Unmissable spots for flavour, relaxation and cosy settings on slow, indulgent autumn Sundays

Brunch first arrived in Milan roughly in the ’90s, and has since become an institution, almost like aperitivo. With the arrival of autumn, it steps back into the spotlight amid the first crisp days and sunshine that still tempts you to eat outdoors. Today, every venue interprets it in its own way: some offer an Italian take, others turn it into a luxurious affair, and others focus on creative, international flavours. From grand hotel buffets to neighbourhood bistros, brunch remains the perfect ritual for slow Sundays, with hot coffee, seasonal dishes and a cosy atmosphere.
Excelsior Hotel Gallia
Piazza Duca D’Aosta, 9

At Excelsior Hotel Gallia, the ‘Finalmente Domenica’ brunch has become a regular fixture. The ‘Autumn Flavours’ theme runs through the October edition. And what scent evokes autumn better than truffles? Gallia Restaurant pays tribute to this prized ingredient on Sunday 19, from 12.30pm to 3pm, with a dining collaboration alongside historic Piedmontese producer Tartù. Add to that the glamorous touch of the ‘Ring for Bubbles’ bell to toast in style. In November, the Excelsior Hotel Gallia brunch returns on the 23rd with the ‘A Taste of Winter’ menu.
10_11 | Portrait Milano
via Sant’Andrea, 10

The brand new Sunday brunch at 10_11, inside Portrait Milano, debuted only last month but has already won over Milanese locals. An elegant, relaxed affair, it opens with a Bloody Mary served from a trolley (also available non-alcoholic) and continues with a lavish buffet featuring salads, vegetables, cheeses and freshly baked pastries, alongside made-to-order detox juices, artisanal bakes and cakes. Specialities to order à la carte include uova Milanesi con spuma al taleggio, club sandwiches, French toast and fluffy pancakes. Weather permitting, you can sit in the garden or on the elegant terrace, in what, cliché aside, can only be described as ‘a stunning setting’.
All’Origine
Viale Monte Nero, 20

On Viale Monte Nero, All’Origine shakes up the Milanese brunch scene with a concept combining innovation, seafood and sustainability. A pioneer in dry-ageing fish, for brunch it serves surprising dishes such as Hot dog di tonno, Pancake con prosciutto di spada and Pappardelle al ragù di collare di pesce. Every weekend, weather permitting, the restaurant terrace comes alive with mellow music and the scent of the grill in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Here, brunch is a contemporary dining experience that tells the story of the sea with creativity and respect for the produce.
Tripstillery Navigli
Via Ascanio Sforza, 9

On Naviglio Pavese, Tripstillery Navigli is the ideal spot for an out-of-the-ordinary Sunday. In this flavour laboratory, where mixology meets experimentation, you can choose from craft cocktails, house-distilled spirits and a selection of standout cured meats and cheeses from small producers, mostly from Lake Iseo, such as salame or truffle formaggella. There are also comforting favourites like eggs, and bread with peanut butter and jam. The atmosphere is urban and relaxed, with large windows overlooking the canal and an intimate terrace: perfect for an alternative, refined Sunday break.
Madama Hostel & Bistrot
Via Benaco, 1

Near Fondazione Prada, Madama Hostel & Bistrot is a crossroads of cultures and flavours. Surrounded by pianos, murals and climbing plants, weekend brunch here is an authentic Milanese classic. The menu changes regularly, alternating international dishes with homely comfort food: salmon toast, English breakfast, soups, risottos and freshly baked cakes. The atmosphere is warm and lively, surrounded by books, music and outdoor tables. A place where you truly feel at home, blending conviviality, urban culture and genuine flavours.
