MOGO

MOGO is the new hi-fi bar & dining spot expanding the scene around Scalo Farini in Milan. Its mission is clear: to create a space where music, food and design blend into a multisensory experience. Stretching across some 400 square metres with a terrace and outdoor tables, the venue demonstrates how design can shape the entire atmosphere: aquatic green and blue hues, carved timber, soft velvet, washi paper and natural materials turn industrial chic into welcoming warmth.

The project stems from a collaboration between some of Milan’s most compelling creative studios – including Polifonic and Burro Studio – and the culinary vision of executive chef Simone Montanaro, guided by Michelin-starred chef Yoji Tokuyoshi. The menu ranges from global influences – Japan above all – to reinterpreted Italian dishes: Tuna ajitama, raw Hamachi and chicken teriyaki sit alongside stuffed focaccia, bread with butter and anchovies, and other dishes created to surprise.

Carefully selected music sets the tone for the dining room. And the drinks list, curated by Filippo Comparini, matches it note for note: signature serves such as the Martini Black Saffron and the Tokyo Dub, natural wines, craft gins, sake and Japanese whisky.

Dinner and drinks after dinner are the times to experience MOGO in its entirety: a 360-degree experience combining chef-led cooking, a thoughtful atmosphere and music. Dinner is when Tokuyoshi and Yamada’s cooking is at its finest, with elegant dishes telling the story of an encounter between Japan and Italy with lightness and originality. Alongside the food, the drinks list pairs internationally inspired cocktails and natural wines, turning every pairing into a journey of its own. After dinner, MOGO becomes a true listening bar: music takes centre stage, powered by a high-end hi-fi system and curated programming. On Sundays from midday, meanwhile, the brunch menu combines signature dishes with Italian comfort food, creatively reimagined.

More than just a venue, MOGO is a genuine listening space. Literally, because music takes the lead, but also in a wider sense, as art, food, culture and creativity maintain a continuous dialogue, making each visit distinctive.
