Nebbia
Contemporary cooking championing traditional ingredients in an old Milan setting, classic fog included

Just a short walk from Naviglio Pavese, in a corner of Milan where time seems to have stood still—among tenement houses with communal balconies, old workshops and neighbourhood spots—Nebbia serves seasonal, innovative cooking that constantly evolves. Large windows and a bright, minimalist design reflect the kitchen’s ethos, looking out onto a small square with outdoor tables during the warmer months.

The menu is concise and unfussy, highlighting quality seasonal produce sourced from selected suppliers. Ingredients are prepared to enhance flavour, appearance and freshness, often paired in unexpected ways with subtle global influences.
Among Nebbia’s standout dishes, often on the menu, are Mora Romagnola and the much-loved Fegatini con pan brioche e cipolle caramellate. Offal also features regularly in various forms, reflecting the founders’ passion for regional specialities and nose-to-tail cooking.

The three co-founders—Federico Fiore, Mattia Grilli and Marco Marrone, all with experience in prestigious kitchens—have created a distinctive, welcoming space with a contemporary yet timeless feel and an informal vibe. It is a tribute to the city and to the ‘scighera’, the quintessential Milanese fog that rolls over the Navigli and the rest of Milan, lending the streets an atmospheric, mysterious air.
That same mystery extends to Nebbia’s social media and its menu, which is not posted online, likely because it changes according to market availability and the chefs’ inspiration. In short: go, and take a leap of faith!
