Ristorante Soqquadro

Tapas bar with a Neapolitan heart for a Manzoni style journey

Typical outdoor journey with friends. Light speeches accompany your steps along the left bank of the Adda river, between the Lake of Garlate and the Lecco branch of the Como Lake, until you find ourselves in the Manzoni’s most representative old village, Pescarenico, in piazza Era, at civic number 7. You are at Soqquadro, a restaurant & tapas bar with a Neapolitan heart in Lecco, unique in its genre. It is love at first sight.

Ristorante Soqquadro - Lecco

You suddenly feel the urge of having something good, maybe to share with the others. And then, peeks out the craving for a cocktail, but even a good glass of wine would be appreciated. Some open-air tables on piazza Era invite you to seat outside, where you can enjoy the view on the river and on the historical square, rigorously pedestrian. An ancient inner courtyard surrounded by greenery and the candleslight welcomes you during the good weather time. But, if the weather is not as good as it should, you can always take a seat in the first floor room, where you can have a view over the outside tables and the river, or in the vip room, more intimate and comfortable for your special occasions. For those more social and extroverted, there is the bar room, more informal and convivial.

Artworks for sale, design objects and sharable contemporary literature give to the minimalist design of the restaurant that lively touch, which temps you to come back often to discover the news of the month. But, even though the creativity in all its forms reigns supreme between the decors, the true protagonist at the table is the quality: the menu is rich in details and variety, where specific denominations are used and the origin, source and type of every product is underlined, proof of their careful attention when choosing the ingredients.

Ristorante Soqquadro - Lecco

The dishes remind scents of the sea side, of salt and of not so far territories: Spain and our beloved Campania. A menu with a clearly Mediterranean mark: from the appetizers to the tapas, from the pastas to the main dishes, all the way to the homemade pizza, prepared by expert Neapolitan hands, following the old receipt. Fresh fish is cooked and served impeccably and the variations of meat dishes really deserve their names.

And to finish and remember? To cap it all, as they say, you do not have to miss the desserts. Milk puddings and custards prevail, but there are also some baked goods, all astonishing! So, are you ready to lose your mind and fall in love once again?

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences milan has to offer.
