Hotel Brunelleschi

An oasis hidden among the historic buildings of the center

There is no better feeling in Florence than one that offers a walk through the old buildings of the historic center. Around Piazza del Duomo there is a network of streets and alleys that hides unexpected surprises. One of these is Piazza Santa Elisabetta, a small open space dominated by the city’s oldest tower and today home to a beautiful boutique hotel: the Hotel Brunelleschi.

In addition to its central location, ideal for exploring all the city’s most unmissable corners and the best shopping addresses on the city, Hotel Brunelleschi offers its guests a magical experience thanks to the charm of its historic location, whose ancient architecture blends with the most modern hotel facilities, creating a fascinating dialogue of different elements, with a care for details that goes as far as the fragrances of the environment, signed by Dr. Vranjes and by the professionals of the Antica Officina del Farmacista.

To make the experience even more complete, you will find, among the hotel’s services, also two restaurants: the traditional Osteria della Pagliazza, in the Byzantine tower, and the refined Santa Elisabetta, which is on the first floor. There is also no lack of drinks thanks to the Tower Bar on the ground floor of the restaurant, with its menu full of excellent cocktails, and there are also meeting rooms and a fitness room, equipped with the best Technogym machines.

Ninety-six rooms divided into Family, Superior Executive, Classic Executive, Deluxe and Deluxe Executive Panorama categories. The rooms are beautiful: oak floors, four-poster beds for the Superior Executive, the courtesy products by Dr. Vranjes. The rooms all have an extremely modern outlook thanks to the renovation coordinated by the architect Piera Benelli and, above all, they open onto wonderful views of the historic center.

There are also some wonderful suites, including the Pool Suite, perhaps the most beautiful of the hotel, with its Jacuzzi overlooking the Cathedral. Then there is the Bargello Suite, with its view of Santa Croce and the ancient towers of the Florentine skyline, the Duomo Suite whose windows open onto Santa Maria del Fiore, the Balcony Suite showing a picturesque glimpse of Palazzo della Signoria, the Pagliazza Towe suite spread over two levels with its ancient medieval walls, right inside the tower, and a stupendous Penthouse Apartment that dominates the entire city from above.

And if you are curious to discover the long history of the structure that houses the hotel and touch the tracks, ask the concierge to visit the Museum of Pagliazza, which exhibits archaeological finds, such as Roman fragments and ceramics of Montelupo, found during the excavations underground in the lower level of the hotel, where you can still admire an ancient Roman caldarium, a sort of ancestor of the modern sauna.

A place full of charm, mystery and romance. A place where the high quality of living in all its facets is celebrated daily: food, drink, architecture, culture. And you will find yourself in the heart of all this, in the exact center of Florence, always ready to live it and experience it, always ready to discover that your every expectation has been overcome.

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences florence has to offer.
