Bulgari Hotel Roma

The unique charm of the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection has finally arrived in the capital.

It took nearly 20 years for the excellence and refinement of the high jewelry brand Bulgari to open, after Milan, its magnificent hotel in Rome, its home city. The wait was long, but it was absolutely worth it. The luxury brand chose a monumental 1930s building, located in Piazza Augusto Imperatore, in the Campo Marzio district, where—as with every hotel opened by Bulgari—the architecture and interiors were entrusted to Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, architects whose fame as masters of the industry precedes them.

Rome is the city where Bulgari was born, and the company has paid tribute to the city by creating a hotel that houses 114 rooms and suites, furnished with a timeless contemporary Italian design, where precious materials and a color palette inspired by the city represent its historic and majestic essence. The immense history of the Roman Empire played a fundamental role in the creation of the Bulgari Hotel Roma: every corner you look at will show you how the heritage of Rome’s history is present throughout the entire structure.

While every room exudes impeccable taste, Bulgari expresses its undisputed savoir-faire in the Bulgari Suite. With a spectacular view of the Mausoleum of Augustus and a surface area of 300 square meters, it is not just a room but a true residence. Furniture from the most famous collections of the Flexform and Maxalto brands signed by Antonio Citterio, and custom-made upholstery by the historic Venetian fabric brand Rubelli, make this living space a masterpiece that reflects the excellence of the Roman maison in every aspect.

This includes the Bulgari Spa, which features eight treatment rooms for face and body and a Spa Suite equipped with a large onyx and ivory bathtub, as well as a 20-meter indoor pool decorated with intricate mosaics inspired by the motifs that adorn the famous Baths of Caracalla. The wellness treatments offered are a skillful combination of art and science, incorporating innovative methods and products from the Augustinus Bader skincare line. Not just healthy and well-deserved rest, but also a fitness center is available, including the Workshop Gymnasium—a tailor-made intense training method created exclusively for Bulgari Hotels in London, Milan, and Rome by Lee Mullins, a renowned personal trainer.

If you want to indulge in a small dose of vanity, you will also find a cozy hair styling salon curated by the most sought-after hairdresser on red carpets, Roberto D’Antonio. As with all the group’s hotels, the Roman structure also hosts the restaurant of Michelin-starred Chef Niko Romito on the 5th floor: an exceptional view, a welcoming and elegant venue with mahogany wood walls adorned with Bulgari artworks, where the menu offers the highest level of contemporary and creative Italian cuisine.

For relaxed moments, the Bulgari Hotel also features the Bulgari Bar: let yourself be captivated by the sumptuous black marble counter, covered with 110 twists with gold dust, hand-blown by Barovier&Toso. True design jewels—after all, we are talking about Bulgari—capable of creating high-impact lighting effects. Accompanying the bar is the Champagne Bar, strongly inspired by the Roman tradition of garden-themed frescoes and boasting an impeccable selection of the best Champagnes available on the market.

Inside the hotel, you will also find Il Caffè, the first in Italy and the first signed by Chef Romito, featuring a large outdoor space that extends under the porticos of Piazza Augusto Imperatore. Completing this top-tier food&beverage offering are the exclusive Bulgari Lounge and the magnificent Terrazza: a rooftop with a view over the monumental center of Rome, from Villa Medici and Trinità dei Monti to the Tiber and the Janiculum Hill—ideal from morning to evening for breaks filled with taste, relaxation, and wonder.

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences rome has to offer.
