Ciacco gelato senz’altro

An ice cream free of any artificial or natural additive: only milk or water, sugar, proteins and vegetable fibres

Milan city centre. One Saturday afternoon of almost summer and the unstoppable desire to have a snack with an ice cream. Not any ice cream, though. A quality and natural one, that really tastes like the flavour you choose. The real one, as the homemade, with a few simple ingredients. In a word: the best. In cases like this I head without any hesitation to via Spadari at Ciacco – gelato senz’altro (Ciacco – ice cream without anything else).

An ice cream free of any artificial or natural additive. No emulsifiers, thickeners, colouring agents, preservatives or added flavours. Only milk or water, sugar, proteins and vegetable fibres and selected ingredients from local markets or certified consortia and old cultivars from organic farms.

A choice that aims to purity and that really makes a difference, both in flavour and in texture. The result is a creamy ice cream, with perfect density and temperature and with an authentic and genuine taste. Plus – not a small detail – is light and easy to digest, even for lactose intolerant as some of the flavours available are made without milk (including not only fruit sorbets but also the most loved flavours as pistachio, chocolate, coffee etc. …). Everyone is satisfied then, including vegans!

Some flavours are always available, while others alternate depending on the season and the products available. Mango, persimmon, pumpkin, fig and peach are absolutely among the best I have ever tasted! Then, always in rotation, there are more “unusual” proposals but absolutely pleasant for those who want to experiment: for example Almost cheesecake with fresh Robiola of Valsassina, caramelised pistachio and raspberry jam or Prince Beugré, with coconut from Ivory coast, Tonka beans and caramel coffee.

Flavour “Almost Cheesecake”

I must admit that for me it was love at first sight: as a big ice cream lover I have now sworn loyalty to the brand and I have never regretted it. My worship for Ciacco’s products increases from time to time! That’s why, despite the multitude of ice cream shops that can be found in every corner of the city, wherever you are, it’s really worth coming here to eat “THE” ice cream. The one for true connoisseurs.

On the other hand, one thing is certain: once tasted, no other ice cream will seem comparable to the one prepared within Ciaco’s artisan laboratory. Undoubtedly, another story, another level, the best … and nothing else!

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences milan has to offer.
