Fioraio Bianchi Caffè

An exceptional bistro which deserves some of your precious time

If your wallet doesn’t stretch as far as the city of love par excellence, then visit via Montebello 7. There’s a little place that’s so French it deserves some of your precious time: Fioraio Bianchi Caffè.

The food is strictly Italian instead! Except for the Cannelés obviously… what, you’ve never tried them? It takes three days to prepare and make these little beauties spiked with rum and vanilla originally from Bordeaux. Five minutes to devour three.

A heartfelt thanks to Raimondo (Raimondo Bianchi is the founder), for helping us make peace with our despised neighbors. It’s taken you a lifetime, but in the end, like from a magician’s top hat you’ve pulled out an exceptional bistrot! Forty years to transform a place for unique flower compositions into one of the hottest spots in the city, so retrò just the way we like it!

The menu changes every month to offer the very best of seasonal products available and is different for lunch and dinner. A wine selection card completes the experience. What’s a break without a little bubbly? Bring a book and leave the iPad at home – ok, ok, bring along your iPod if you must ‘cuz your favorite tunes are gonna make this moment rock – sit at one of the tables outside.

If you’re feeling romantic, here’s a hint: you can still buy the flowers!

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences milan has to offer.

La Briciola

Via Marsala 1, 20121 Milano

The story begins about forty years ago in via Solferino 25 Via Marsala. Located in Brera, the artistic heart of the city, it is framed in times past and creates an almost surreal atmosphere. Gianni started very early on to challenge his fate and follow his intuitions. The idea was to create a second home, [...]

Café Gorille

Via Gaetano de Castillia 20, 20124 Milano

If only these walls could speak… they would be plenty of stories to tell! We are at the civic number 20 in via Gaetano de Castilla, right in front of the famous, tall and extraordinary buildings which create the Bosco Verticale. Right here, the Cafè Gorille opened one year ago. A place that, irony of [...]

Langosteria Bistrot

Via privata Bobbio 2, 20144 Milano

A metropolitan bay, that is how I would call the Langosteria Bistrot, a mix between a Parisian bistrot and an inn on the sea shore: you can feel the sea scent while listening to Edith Piaf. I have discovered Langosteria Bistrot not a long time ago and now I cannot live without it. The direction [...]
