Osteria dell’Oca Giuliva
Cooking that celebrates Italian tradition, guided by seasonality

Just a short walk from the bustling centre of Milan stands Osteria dell’Oca Giuliva, a charming trattoria with a warm, relaxed atmosphere where time seems to slow down.
Here the watchword is hospitality, a value reflected as much in the dining room as in the kitchen, built on simple, wholesome dishes and cooking that brings out the authentic flavours of Italian cuisine.

The setting is welcoming and carefully detailed: the interior is dominated by wooden features and green tones, cheerfully decorated with dozens of cheerful geese—painted on walls, resting on shelves or starring in neat little pictures—which have become the restaurant’s defining symbol and namesake.

Osteria dell’Oca Giuliva pays close attention to the seasonality of its produce: since 2012, its menus have followed the natural rhythm of the land, changing four times a year to showcase the freshest ingredients and celebrate the authentic flavours of Mediterranean cooking.

The restaurant’s cooking is a tribute to regional culinary traditions, with a special fond focus on Pugliese flavours, featuring specialities such as Purea di fave e cicoria and Capriccio pugliese, a beef roll with pancetta, herbs, macaroni and aubergine. Every dish stems from a careful selection of ingredients from the finest Italian producers. The pasta course ranges from Pugliese favourites like Pennette all’arrabbiata and Orecchiette con le cime di rapa to northern Italian staples such as Pappardelle con trevisana e speck or Umbricelli con funghi porcini e scampi.

Among the mains, a generous choice of Scaloppine, Costate di manzo and Filetti alla brace caters to meat lovers, while seafood options include Orata alla siciliana, Trancio di Pescatrice con patate, carciofi e olive, Sogliola alla Mugnaia and Fritture miste di pesce.

From the authentic Mozzarella di bufala di Mondragone to the Zuppa di pasta e ceci, through to homemade desserts such as the Meneghina alla piastra or Torta di pinoli, Osteria dell’Oca Giuliva invites you to enjoy traditional flavours in a corner of Milan where you are treated as a guest before a customer.
