2017 has really only just begun and though I swore to myself I would be better behaved this year – less takeout, less meat, less booze – temptation is always around the corner in this city. With the mercury dropping it seems I can find any excuse for devouring that big bowl of soul-warming pasta, ordering that second glass of velvety red wine, or passing up a run in the park to spend some time under the blankets with Netflix. Thankfully, V3Raw is here to help force me to keep those New Year’s resolutions.
V3Raw is the latest raw food restaurant in Milan, serving a range of healthy and easy alternatives to the usual suspects you find around Milan – we’re looking at you ham and cheese piadina. V3Raw’s menu offers yogurt, slow-pressed juices, smoothies, salads and toast (which isn’t technically raw, but who cares when it is made with delicious tumminia flour and comes piled high with loads of healthy toppings).
Raw food diets focus on helping you get the most out of the food you eat by not destroying the beneficial components in vegetables through exposure to heat. Though hardly a new concept, raw food diets is experiencing new found popularity with celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Katy Perry – and who doesn’t want to look like those two?
V3Raw promises to be more than a passing fad in Milan. Not content with just offering healthy and tasty food options, V3Raw now provides useful tips fitness and lifestyle advice through V-TR3INING – special events organized for those who love sports, training and living a dynamic lifestyle which is run by Milanese #fitspo hero, and personal trainer, Beatrice Mazza as well as a running group led by beautiful and much loved girls of Gazelle on the Road, who have built a real community of runners here in Milan. V3Raw is also planning a series of events focusing on yoga for when summer finally comes around.
I find it much easier to face those winter morning workouts if the promise of fresh brewed coffee and avocado on toast is waiting for me on the other side!
Run into V3Raw today, and keep running through 2017!
