Not risking falling into the most trivial of trivialities, Milan is the fashion capital. Milan is the fashion district, literally “Il quadrilatero della moda”. Those four roads, studded with the flagship stores of the most important brands of the fashion and luxury world, are one of the marvels of the city.
As a little girl I was fascinated by the perfection of the shop windows and what they revealed. But because I lived in a small city I got used to shopping in department stores, where you can find a little bit of everything. I was anxious to move to Milan for a bunch of reasons, such as to go crazy shopping in via Montenapoleone. And so it happened.
One day I ended up in what then became one of my favorite shops: Antonia to be precise. This is how I discovered the fascination with having all of my favorite brands in just one shop. And I began to feel at home again, among scarves and hats, between dresses and stilettos, like a little girl in mommy’s closet.
All this to tell you that I still like to have fun in Montenapoleone every once in a while, but to get pampered my way I go here:
Via Cusani, 5
“…Brera had never been so beautiful, lively, intense. The first heat wrapped the city, music in the streets, installations in the hidden gardens of fascinating and mysterious buildings, guys and gals crowding the little streets so tight and intimate. We had already in mind to bring our guests to Antonia. (…) We enter the exclusive multibrand store, situtated in via Cusani 5, a marvelous store within Cagnola Building, a 600 square meter space divided into three well defined macro areas: women, men and accessories.”
Love for fashion, the desire to fill places giving soul to forgotten spaces, create emotions and transmit them letting instinct ride. Always. This is the DNA of Claudio Antonioli, sensations that each one of us can experience entering his historic boutique in Via P. Paoli 1, a space that was born within a building complex where in the ’20s there was a silent movie theater. Refined, innovative, unique products are the cardinal characteristics of the choices of Claudio Antonioli: the Designer proposal who lives within the Concept who embraces diverse cultures and souls of the global Fashion panorama.
Really though, between the latest designer brands and up and coming designers carefully selected by the family, the shop is well equipped to encourage and inspire any self-respecting fashionista. Let yourself be guided by the staff that can, without fail, put together the perfect look for any occasion. All you need is two or three artfully chosen basics and one top of the line piece – like, from an emerging designer – and you’ll be mixing & matching like the best of them. That is, if you don’t mind making even your trendiest friends jealous.
A marvelous micro-world in a city on the move, a world full of art which it releases from every corner, terrace and garden, as much in the gallery as in the store.. (…) While I immerse myself into this concept and lose myself completely. While I imagine my Lady in this marvelous dress by Azzedine Alaïa, or while in the bookshop not knowing where to start and my gaze – at times not very careful – catches a glimpse of “Three at Last” by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, my favorite photographer.”
Elegant multibrand store deployed on three floors in via della Spiga 4, in the heart of the fashion district. You will find clothing and accessories for both man and women, as well as a beautiful bookstore. The world-renowned store, is always looking for new talent to impress its demanding international clientele. The choice among luxury brands is really wide, you will not know where to start: Lanvin, Bluemarine, Missoni, Givenchy, Brunello Cucinelli and Loboutin just to name a few.
