#ICC15 – International Chef Cup 2015

Eight evenings in which one of our Italian starred chefs and an international one will work together to create a unique recipe

Food lovers of Milan near and far, perk up those ears! In occasion of the very talked about Expo, even intiatives like International Chef Cup stop! In fact, even though it’s a traveling event with pit stops all over the world, for this year it will be planted right here in our city.

“Nourish the planet, energy for life” is the perfect stimulus for the couples of starred chefs who will battle in a cooking show to remember. The location? One of the most beautiful terraces of Milan, the Terrazza di via Palestro, will host eight evenings in which one of our Italian star chefs and one international chef will work together to create a unique recipe which will be a result of a combination between the two countries they come from. The use of natural and sustainable primary ingredients will be the key obviously, in all respect of the theme of the Universal Exposition.

The plates will be tasted by the live public and evaluated by a panel of experts, comped of three consistent judges – the nutritionist Evelina Fiachi, the journalist Cristina Vigge’ and the actor Massimiliano Finazzer Flory – beside which will alternate two different judges for each one of the evenings. Finally there will be a ninth event where the two most voted couples will face off in order to declare the winner.

For those of you who would like to participate, the entrance is open to everyone, the price is really reasonable – 20€ each – all you have to do is book your ticket!

  • Monday, May 18 – Iside de Cesare (La Parolina, Trevinano) and Silvio Galizzi (Seven, Lugano)
  • Tuesday, June 9 – Stefano Cerveni (Due Colombe, Rovato) and Julien Machet (Le Farcon, La Tania)
  • Tuesday, June 23 – Isa Mazzocchi (La Palta, Piacenza) and Prin Polsuk (Naham, Bankok)
  • Monday, July 13 – Luciano Monosilio (Pipero al Rex, Rome) and Haruo Ichikawa (Iyo, Milan)
