Miss Sixty Cafè

Often in the bustle of Milan, the same that characterizes its most central streets, dodging the passers-by in balance between duties, lists, appointments and high heels, it happens to think of wanting to withdraw in an ashram, in some villa with included digital week detox or plunge into unspoiled nature to clear the thoughts. Then, at the exit of the subway stop, you return to reality, you look around lost and confused. Where can you find a corner of peace in this confusion? The gaze falls to the number 31 of Piazza Duomo: a small pink cuddle, the Miss Sixty Cafè on the first floor of the homonymous brand.

This is one of the elements of the strategy to relaunch the eclectic denim brand, which has decided to create a place of refreshment and meeting in its flagship store, open in the pulsating heart of Milan in December of last year. The Miss Sixty Cafè is run by “Dal Bolognese”, a Milanese restaurant guarantee of quality and is opened every day from 10 am to 9 pm.

The style, the furnishings and the complements bring to the environment a cosmopolitan touch, from the urban and pop twist. On the walls, wallpaper with lush forest, holiday echoes to take to the city. The rose dominates but interacts with the pastel tones that characterize the leather of the armchairs, the squared sofas and the marble of the tables, finished in faux “gold”. Gold that recalls the color of the bar corner, with a mirrored ceiling to give more light and in the display case of small pastries and gourmet sandwiches.

The menu has a number of proposals that cover the various tastes and different needs. It ranges from classic sandwiches, such as the club sandwich or the vegetarian sandwich to small dishes like the delicious “coppa” of shrimp cocktail with apples and pink sauce or an angus carpaccio accompanied by mustard sauce and toasted almonds. Salads in these summer months are a perfect choice for a light, fresh but tasty lunch break. I recommend the shrimp and avocado with flakes of parmesan or white tuna and fennel. Fish and meat tartare are also deserving, with a particular emphasis on that of tuna combined with the exotic flavor of Jerusalem artichokes, ginger and enriched with almonds.

Attention also to vegetarians with quinoa, wholemeal bread accompanied by hummus and one of the most tasty seitan that can be found around. The proposals are absolutely attentive, colorful and instagrammable thanks to the porcelain painted with style and personality. Miss Sixty Cafe is perfect for one of the classic “second breakfasts” of late morning or “5 o’clock tea”, thanks to the pink cappuccinos accompanied by pastries of small pastries, in the glass like the cheesecake or the inevitable brownie garnished with raspberries.

Space for aperitivo, with a wide selection of wines or cocktails from the most classic to the most particular such as the fresh Lord Cucumber or the all-pink Cosmolychee, served with excellent finger food.

A deliciously chic concept store that, in harmony with the latest trends, contains various activities: shopping and good food. What else can be asked for a peaceful and dreamy break?
