A hidden courtyard, immersed in a former industrial space once occupied by a workshop. An almost unreachable if not known place , behind the houses of Via Cola di Rienzo, 8 a few steps from the nightlife of Tortona and the Solari Park.
Antonio Marras, well-known name of the Sardinian fashion industry and all-round creative has decided to open his Milanese shop here, in an area of Milan where courtyards and secret gardens survive undisturbed by the clamor of the center. In spite of this, Mararras is the result of a contradiction : a deep desire by the designer to communicate his art to a heterogeneous and curious public, without wanting to lock him up in a cold store, limited to the purchase of clothing. The immense space was in fact conceived as a multifaceted meeting point , in which to move freely between paintings, books, objects, clothes, accessories and “pierpierini,” puppets made with the waste fabrics of the Marras collections.
A living room with meticulously peeling walls, where vintage sofas and armchairs, immense windows overlooking the internal courtyard, antique mirrors, wooden beams and floral furnishings trace a path out of the ordinary, which invites its visitors to feel at home, browsing here and there . The inspiration and the genius of the designer have created a shop that allows you to have a sensory shopping experience , in the name of “timelessness.” The men’s and women’s collections that stand out on mannequins and on retro hangers represent that “out of the ordinary” fashion concept that Marras is a spokesperson for.
Despite Marras, it is worth a visit : to buy, photograph, touch, browse and try. It’s a unique experience in a fluid place, where internal space and dehors dialogue synergistically to accompany the visitor on a visual and eclectic journey, with free interpretation and use.
Relax in a location where everything is allowed, breathing that air of contamination between art, fashion and design that distinguishes the visionary world without schemes of the stylist made in Alghero.
