In the Trastevere district of the Eternal City, where poetry, tradition and folklore come to life among the cobbled streets, we meet Le Levain, a delicious  artisanal pastry shop  at number 22-23 of via Santini that combines the savoir faire of  French boulangeries  and  pâtisseries  with the authentic soul of our Peninsula. A sign with an open laboratory where every day delicious sweet and savory creations come to life, real treats for the palate that accompany our moments of pleasure, from breakfast to lunch, up to a well-deserved snack.

A precise and meticulous production, starting from the main ingredient, the  sourdough starter  –  levain , in French -, to which creams, jams, aromas, spices, fruit and savory delicacies are added. The selection of  boulangerie products  includes the aromas of a buttery croissant, a soft cake or tart, and also muffins, pasticciotti, puff pastry and brownies, accompanied by a tasty selection of  Italian-French pastries  and  bakery products , with bread made with different flours – the baguette is a must – and the delicious white or stuffed focaccia. An irresistible variety of products for the regulars and curious customers of Le Levain who juggle the aromas and flavours of this brand, unsure of what to whet their appetite with.

If attention to detail reigns in the Le Levain laboratory, even in the delightful room dedicated to service nothing is left to chance. A  large counter  displays the prêt-à-manger preparations, fresh daily, to take away or savour on site, surrounded by a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, between warm wood, tiled floors and a wonderful view of the beating heart of the pastry shop: the  laboratory . What’s better than being able to follow with your own eyes the preparation of unmissable sins of gluttony? To accompany your tasty breaks, tea and steaming coffee and creamy cappuccino, served in cute glasses rigorously branded.
