Cocktail Bars

Barz8

Can't find the cocktail that is right for you? Here they will create it specifically to your liking.

“The cocktail tailors”, is what they consider themselves here at Barz8. In fact, there is no real drink list, instead skilled bartenders have the ability to sew every single ingredient into a cocktail based off of the customer’s wishes. Precisely, tailor-made cocktails.

In the shadow of the Gran Madre church, not far from the bustling Piazza Vittorio Veneto, you will find a small bar with vaulted ceilings, exposed brickwork and a counter illuminated by a distinguishable purple fluo light. It is famous throughout Turin for its tailor-made cocktails, tailor-made to suit the tastes of the customer. If you wish to experiment, this is the right place for you. Because inspiration and fantasy are in the DNA of this place and its two creators, Luigi Iula and Salvatore Romano, true alchemists are able to give life to new combinations.

Here we celebrate the art of blending in all its splendor not only through the skill of the bartenders but also thanks to the very wide selection of exceptionable quality. 50 types of Tequila, 40 varieties of vermouth and vodka, 30 tonics and more than 160 gins for a total of 600 different distillates. To complete the picture, selected raw materials range from the most traditional to the most unexpected, including lavender, rose petals, fresh cream, cloves, spices and even chocolate.

The attention to the detail and excellence here at Barz8 passes the craftsmanship of some distillates, certainly the gin. In fact here we produce one of the few Italian gins made with the steeping technique or the prolonged maceration of botanical herbs in alcohol before the actual distillation. Black pepper, licorice, cardamom, cassia, angelica and coriander are some of the spices that the “barzottini” use create their variety of  gin.

The experience and originality of Luigi and Salvatore can also be found in the new EDIT project (insert reference to the EDIT article): in fact, the management of the cocktail area has been entrusted in their hands. Here, the two imaginative bartenders organize events and masterclasses dedicated to particular spirits spreading the culture linked to the world of quality drinking.

In short, the ingredients are all there, now it’s up to you to choose which  ones are right for your evening!

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences turin has to offer.

The premises that house Baobar have lived many lives, and each of them has left its mark.
