Summertime in Milan can be hard to deal with: with the heat and the fiery tarmac, going out means facing a concrete jungle. How many times you dreamed about exiting the office and immersing in a quiet garden, far away from the city frenzy and noises? Every desert has its oasis and Milan has the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts.
Every time I want to indulge in a break from the town, without having to abandon it, this is my happy place, where I can relax allowing myself an aperitif in their bar. From 6.30pm to 9pm you can hide here, sipping a delicious drink and tasting the freshly prepared snacks coming from the kitchen.
The Bulgari Hotels & Resorts is in the heart of Brera, but to reach it you have to follow a private street (via privata Fratelli Gabba 7b), which makes it a real hidden gem and, most of all, preserve its calmness. Once at the entrance, ask to be shown the way to the bar. At this point you will be already immersed in the Bulgari elegance, with the modern and polished décor and a glass wall which overlook the garden. Here it is your oasis, your refuge from the suffocating summery Milan.
When I escape here, whether it is in couple or with friends, I take a seat and I start to leaf through the cocktails list. The choice is always hard because of the variety, but trust me, whatever you will chose, you will be surprised. Usually I go for a Moscow Mule and time flies while having small talks. During your well-deserved happy hour, you will be served small tastes from the kitchen, which are super good and high quality, ça va sans dire.
Just in case you would be going through conversations too much important to go back home already at 9pm and you would be totally conquered by the atmosphere, I suggest you to stay a little longer and try the à la carte dishes… you will not be disappointed!
At the end of the evening, you will have forgot you are still in town, the flawless service and the excellent quality will make you want to come back, to enjoy again this magical spot in Milan, where the Italian savoir vivre is expressed at its best.
