A venue that has to be included in the list of restaurants for meat lovers. The place is called Don Juan, some say (including the Milan football team, all the players are dedicated customers) the best Argentine restaurant in Milan if not nationally, according to some reports.
The venue has a typical Argentine atmosphere – exposed brickwork, wooden trays made in farms of the Pampas and baskets, ponchos and wicker armchairs from the city of Salta – yet at the same time, the impeccably laid and skillfully arranged tables create a restrained and elegant style across the venue’s two main spaces.
After enjoying the location, it is time to savor Don Juan’s dishes, your mouth water the moment you see the menu. Among my favorites is ‘Bife de Chorizo’, a tender beef sirloin that melts in the mouth, served with pureed potatoes or stewed spinach spices, the finely sliced Pata Negra ham, the ‘Bife de Costila’, beef entrecote or the traditional fillet ‘Churrasco de Lomo’.
Two final ingredients are missing to fully complete the dinner and make it really great. Firstly, good wine is served with the courses. Where Argentine meat is concerned, it is mandatory to order a full-bodied red, if Argentine, even better. Second but equally important is dessert! You can choose a typical Argentine dessert, such as ‘Dulce de Leche’, or opt for something more traditional. My final choice and perfect finish would be savory pie with a molten hot chocolate center along with a scoop of creamy ice cream. This will leave you completely satisfied. Last but not least, the service provided by the all Argentinian staff is prompt and very friendly.
In conclusion, we can confirm Don Juan is the perfect restaurant for all occasions: from romantic dinners, nights out with a friends or corporate events. See for yourself and you won’t regret it.
