El Patio del Gaucho, Javier Zanetti

Halfway between Italy and Argentina

Opened in August 2019, the Sheraton Milan San Siro inaugurated the brand new El Patio del Gaucho restaurant, Javier Zanetti, which bears the name of the former football player, who wanted to represent the perfect union between specialties of the Bel Paese and foreign cultures. If from the outside the majesty of the structure surely strikes the eye, the interior is breathtaking. The menu is based on meat and traditional recipes, but fish and grilled vegetables are not missing from the mix either.

El Patio del Gaucho

At the head of the kitchen of El Patio Del Gaucho stands the Executive Chef Luca Nania. Sicilian in origin, he began his career learning the art of Sicilian pastry and then traveled across three continents in order to know the different cultures and various cooking techniques. Do not miss the parrilla, the gigantic grill on which the best cuts of the finest meat are cooked which make this restaurant an indispensable element to the Sheraton Milan San Siro. The interior, frequented especially in the colder seasons, is dominated by slate, wood and leather that intertwine, creating a harmonious environment.

During the summer, guests have the opportunity to dine in the terraced garden, which the restaurant overlooks, enjoying the sunset that paints the city sky pink. In addition to dinners during the week and on the weekend, El Patio del Gaucho, Javier Zanetti offers guests the opportunity to have a very rich Sunday brunch also known as asado de domingo. L’asado, for Argentinians, is the day dedicated to family getting together to enjoy a hearty grilled meat cooked with care from the asador.

El Patio del Gaucho

The menu offers a wide selection of Argentinian dishes starting from provoletas, whose main ingredient is our Italian provola, to the various empanadas fritas, cold cuts and entradas a la parrilla, or grid. Then, you enter the heart of the menu with the meat dishes that are divided into cortes de carne sin hueso, boneless cuts of meat, and cortes de carne con hueso, cuts of meat on the bone. There is also a section dedicated to salsa and one that offers grilled specialties from Josper, the restaurant’s innovative charcoal oven. There is no shortage of dishes for vegetarians and matching vegetable side dishes. Last but not least the postres, which correspond to our desserts and which will conclude your dinner with class.

El Patio del Gaucho

The Sheraton Milan San Siro is the third Sheraton brand hotel in Milan, together with the historic Sheraton Diana Majestic and the Sheraton Milan Malpensa. Conceived and created to accommodate above all businessmen and sportsmen, it sometimes also hosts leisure travelers. This is precisely the main aspect that characterizes the restaurant and distinguishes it from the rest. On one hand, it is a place for work and business, and on the other, a destination for recreation and entertainment.

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences milan has to offer.
