Alla lettera

A pizza restaurant who's design combines typography and cuisine

A themed place that offers simple and quality cuisine. Alla letterera is inspired by the Neapolitan tradition, wandering a bit along the peninsula without ever losing sight of its true identity. Nice and delicious have never described a place better, than this restaurant pizzeria.

The concept of this space comes from the name of the square it is located on: Gian Battista Bodoni. Yes, the man who invented the Bodoni character. This pizza restaurant is a real tribute to the typography that we truly find everywhere in all forms and declination. Inlaid, dangling or painted characters on the walls decorate an airy and strategically designed environment that resemble a museum.

Without any desire for clutter, the space is characterized by minimalism: chairs in light wood with a letter or sentence impressed, white tablecloths, cream walls, and a ventilation system in sight along with works done by talented contemporary artists

The icing on the cake is certainly the design menu: offering fresh daily, each section is characterized by a different typeface (with a bit of history at the foot of the page). Nice and fun, this menu is not just to browse, it’s a must to taste it. The main proposal is without a doubt the pizza, which here is produced in the most classic Neapolitan style, even in the selection of tastes: simple but always effective.

But the Neapolitan capital influence is also found in the idea of fried “pre-pizza”  and some variations including fish. An element that can also be found in this restaurant, is getting straight to the point from the appetizer with mussels marinara or salad of sea bass and vegetables to the grill with shrimp, calamari and prawns. There are also some excellent meat dishes such as veal tartare in pistachio crust or Piedmontese veal fillet. No first course, by choice. But who misses it with all this food of god’s doing?

This is a place suitable for everyone, couples, friends or families. It remains its incisive character from the original and unmistakable style that distinguishes it: quality design and quality food, To Alla lettera!

We can't. That's why every week we share the best experiences turin has to offer.
