A project of urban redevelopment and social integration, combined with a location filled with history to be discovered and a tasty kitchen with a rooftop garden. All this merges, almost literally, under the name of the Fonderie Ozanam.
Created by Bulgarian architect Nicolaj Duilgheroff, the ship-shaped building is an interesting example of the architecture of second Italian Futurism. Unique in Turin, a common good that has been redeveloped thanks to various associations.
One of these is the Fonderie Ozanam restaurant run by the social cooperative Meeting Service, the place where Loris and his guys prepare genuine and original dishes every day, with their own ingredients, many of which come from the rooftop garden, so it is the case of literally saying km0.
In the restaurant you will find a retro industrial atmosphere that combines vintage elements with more contemporary accents: tobacconist’s shop, wooden hardware drawer units, and baroque tables, In short, you get lost in the discovery of every detail, immersed in a colorful and multifaceted environment.
The kitchen is a real “hotbed” of tasty ideas where the disadvantaged children from the courses organized by the cooperative can test themselves collaboratively and professionally at the same time. The dishes come to life with a menu mixing solidarity and taste to perfection under the banner of the Piedmontese tradition, but leaving space for new ideas.
They range from creamed cod to ravioli with artichokes with anchovy butter, also passing through seasonal proposals with more gourmet notes such as the piemontese cured meat with poached eggs and honey mustard or the parmantiere of potatoes and leeks with cripsy octopus. Add some different vegetables and great pizza with natural leavening, making it complete. This menu is able to satisfy the tasts of everyone.
Let yourself be surprised by the energy of Ozanam Foundires, a meting place where conviviality and good humor are the order of the day.
