BAR BULGARI

Via Fratelli Gabba, 7/B

Bulgari Hotel Milano
CALLDIRECTIONS

Treat yourself at least every now and then to the luxury of experiencing one of the most exclusive brunches in the city. We highly recommend going in spring, on a sunny day, to fully enjoy the wonderful internal garden and feel, in an instant, as though you are in the countryside, despite being just a short walk from Brera and the fashion district. The restaurant, overseen by multi-Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, offers a Sunday brunch defined by luxury and refinement, with a selection of starters, first courses, mains, desserts and a flûte of Champagne.

GIARDINO CORDUSIO

Piazza Cordusio, 2

CALLDIRECTIONS

Inside Palazzo Cordusio Gran Meliá, Giardino Cordusio is the bistrot and cocktail bar that every Sunday, from 11:00 to 15:00, transforms brunch into one of the most anticipated rituals of the week. The concept draws inspiration from the 1980s, reinterpreted in a contemporary key, and you can feel it: in the kitchen, the Avo Supreme with house-made Danish pastry and spinach hollandaise is paired with vitello tonnato sliced to order and pennette with salmon, confit datterini and smoked Scottish salmon. The buffet brings to the table freshly baked viennoiserie, fruit, a chocolate fountain and a selection of charcuterie and cheeses. The mixology holds its own, with the 80’s Wave section and four interpretations of the Bloody Mary, ranging from the Cordusio Mary to the kimchi-yuzu Oriental Mary. An elegant DJ set accompanies it all.

THE BAR AT RALPH LAUREN

Via della Spiga, 5

CALLDIRECTIONS

On Via della Spiga, in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, the Ralph Lauren restaurant occupies the ground floor of a five-storey building entirely dedicated to the American designer’s brand. A fascinating combination of Milan’s characteristic secret courtyards, the impeccable aesthetic sensibility of Ralph Lauren, with wicker chairs and country-chic cushions, and the finest traditional American cuisine, the restaurant serves a high-quality brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. From avocado toast to poached eggs, lobster roll, the famous Ralph’s burger, all the way to the unmissable pancakes and classic strawberry cheesecake, everything takes you (back) to the States.

The menu offers dishes made to order such as meat and fish tartare, scrambled eggs, omelettes and sweet and savoury crêpes, but it is the rich and colourful buffet that truly lets you indulge, with baked pasta, chicken curry, meatballs in tomato sauce, charcuterie and cheeses on demand, and vegetarian options such as hummus, vegetables and savoury tarts. And it would not be a proper brunch without a wide selection of desserts, including the essential pancakes, as well as Sacher torte, tiramisù, fruit tarts and many other treats. So, what are you doing next Sunday?

MOGO

Via Bernina, 1C

CALLDIRECTIONS

In the Milan brunch landscape, MOGO stands out as a proposition that genuinely surprises. In the Scalo Farini area, this hi-fi bar & dining becomes the ideal destination for those who want to experience brunch in its fullest sense: excellent cuisine, carefully crafted drinks, considered design and quality sound. Every Sunday, MOGO opens the day with a brunch that beautifully blends East and West. Executive Chef Simone Montanaro, guided by Michelin-starred Chef Yoji Tokuyoshi, presents dishes that draw as much from Japanese cuisine as from the flavours of home: from tuna ajitama to hamachi crudo, focaccia with mortadella or bread with butter and anchovies. The beverage offering ranges from classic and signature cocktails to natural wines and an exclusive selection of Japanese whiskies, gin, mezcal and sake.

CALLDIRECTIONS

In the heart of the lively Via Eustachi, a stone’s throw from Città Studi, Baobar is the cocktail bar with contemporary kitchen that wins you over with its eclectic and colourful style. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed: rich and varied menus, from eggs every which way to club sandwiches, avocado toast and fassona beef burgers, with vegan options too. All accompanied by irresistible desserts such as cheesecake and brownies, American coffee, orange juice, water and the artisan bread from micro-bakery TraMa. The finishing touch? The coolest meal of the week is often accompanied by live bossa nova music, for a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere.

DHOLE

Via Tiraboschi, 2

CALLDIRECTIONS

This refined venue in Porta Romana will take you on a journey through the flavours and aromas of distant countries and cultures, with a menu where spiced notes tease the palate through delightful dishes with an Asian thread running through them. The brunch menu includes dishes such as Wagyu Burger, Katsu Sandu and Okonomiyaki, alongside options closer to home: creamy Parmesan egg and Eggs Florentine with asparagus and truffle. Its generous portions, full of flavour, will win over both your heart and your palate.

JUNE COLLECTIVE

Via Varesina, 162

DIRECTIONS

In the heart of the Certosa District, June Collective is an international bistrot with Mythila Shilke in the kitchen, an Indian chef trained at the Cordon Bleu in San Francisco with experience in some of the world’s finest restaurants, and Ilze Sire front of house, a Latvian with a strong background in communications and international hospitality. Together they have created a simple yet refined format: dishes with a maximum of three ingredients, a seasonal menu built around vegetables, pulses and produce from small farms. Open for around two years, their “slow breakfast” has already won over Milan, thanks to a unique selection of dishes in which classics such as French toast, cardamom bun, banana bread and pancakes sit alongside fusion options like Shakshuka (spiced tomato eggs), chickpea curry with cavolo nero, coriander and chilli oil, or an open sandwich with pulled chicken. The drinks stay true to the spirit: flat white, matcha latte, chai latte or kombucha, to feel truly at home in an international metropolis.

OTTO

Via Paolo Sarpi, 8

Sarpi oTTo

CALLDIRECTIONS

oTTo (yes, that is how it is written), on Via Paolo Sarpi, is the perfect spot to meet friends for a relaxed break, with a menu of “particular, natural, fun, quick and colourful things”, as they themselves describe it on their website. Every Saturday and Sunday you can build your own brunch menu with the now-famous Quadrotti, two slices of toasted sandwich bread garnished to order, accompanied by a side, three extras, water, bread and coffee. The space is a compendium of contemporary design: large glass windows, plenty of greenery, communal wooden tables, mismatched chairs, armchairs and leather sofas dotted here and there… in short, it feels a little like Copenhagen and a little like Brooklyn.

EPPOL PIE

Via Lecco, 4

I Migliori Brunch di Milano

CALLDIRECTIONS

Eppol Pie is a natural choice when it comes to weekend brunch for a break centred entirely on great food. The menu is a unique temptation: brunch purists will be spoilt for choice among the many inviting egg-based options. The iconic club sandwich here goes by the name of Club Eppol Pie, with marinated and seared chicken and the obligatory bacon, served with chips and sauces. As tradition dictates, the burger is on the menu, but at Eppol Pie quality is non-negotiable and you will find it made exclusively with Chianina beef. And to finish, a surprise: a super British fish and chips (complete with an exclamation mark on the menu itself). Those who prefer to watch their waistline without compromising on flavour can choose from a selection of salads or a vegan burger.
